Shred Day at Credit Union ONE Macomb Branch

  • May 11, 2018

Ferndale, Michigan – The Members of Credit Union ONE took advantage of a free Shred Day held at the Macomb Township Branch on Saturday May 5th. Six tons of paper was collected as Members lined up well before the 9am to 12 noon event. Also the Membership was very generous as over $450.00 in donations were collected for Beaumont Children’s in Royal Oak.

Credit Union ONE hosts free shred days in the spring and fall each year, which helps to encourage awareness about the importance of shredding confidential personal material. Credit Union ONE Member Lisa Filliccia dropped off material and was pleased with the day, “This is Great and it really helped us out so much, nice to just be able to drop and go!  Great Job!”.

“ It seems that some form of identity theft is in the news on a daily basis, which also helps to explain the increased turnouts at each of the events” said John Kozich, Vice President of Community Relations for Credit Union ONE said. “ Our Members appreciate this service and continue to come out and participate, and to donate to such a great cause. Thank You”.
