Scholarships

At Credit Union ONE, we believe that investing in the next generation benefits everyone. To support graduating high school seniors in their higher education journeys, we’re  proud to announce the 2026 William G. Coyne Memorial Scholarship Program:

• A grand total of $20,000 will be awarded to 9 winners
• The first-place winner will receive a $4,000 scholarship
• Eight winners will each receive a $2,000 scholarship

To be eligible for the William G. Coyne Memorial Scholarship Program,* applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Student must be a member of Credit Union ONE for at least 6 months prior to submission date (or) must have a relative that has been a member with Credit Union ONE for at least 6 months prior to submission date. The account must also be in good standing.***
• Must live in Michigan or the following Ohio counties: Wood, Lucas, Sandusky, Summit, Lake or Cuyahoga.
• Be a 2026 graduating high school senior.
• Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or above.
• 30 hours or more of documented, certified community service during the Junior/ Senior year of high school ending before May 18, 2026.**
• Plan to enroll in a 4-year college, university, or accredited trade or vocational school in the Fall of 2026.
• Employees of Credit Union ONE and Icon Mortgage and their immediate family are ineligible to receive this scholarship.
• Must turn in all required documents by postmark deadline of May 18, 2026.
